The establishment of India's first 3D Printed Post Office in Cambridge Layout, Bengaluru, signifies a courageous stride toward a pioneering future for the country.
L&T (Larsen & Toubro Limited), a construction company, was responsible for the creation of this 3D Printed Post Office structure.
L&T Construction, in collaboration with IIT Madras, orchestrated the construction of the building. IIT Madras contributed technical assistance to L&T throughout the process.
A fully automated 3D concrete printing process was employed to construct a post office building, encompassing a space of 1,021 square feet.
In a notable departure from the conventional method that usually spans 6 to 8 months, the entire construction was accomplished within a mere 45 days.
